Stay overnight at the modern and light Copenhagen Island hotel

In 2006, we opened the doors to Hotel Copenhagen Island with stylish design by Kim Utzon, where glass, water and light create an ultra-modern environment with a pleasant atmosphere.

The hotel is located on Kalvebod Brygge right next to Copenhagen Harbour. The rooms are designed with light interiors, featuring the maritime white sail as the headboard.

The hotel’s restaurant overlooks the harbour and is beautifully decorated in classic Scandinavian and French style.

The hotel is also Green Key certified.

Rooms and facilities

The hotel has 326 air-conditioned rooms, free wireless Internet and flat-screen TV. There is a fitness centre on the top floor of the hotel.

The hotel also offers conference rooms with modern facilities and excellent service. There are nine rooms of different sizes – discuss your requirements with the hotel and hold your meeting here, and which also provides you with an unrivalled overnight base.

Attractions in the area

Every season has its own charm and special offers for tourists in Copenhagen, but the summer in particular has many options on and by the water.

You will find one of the city’s harbour swimming pools just 50 m from the hotel. If you walk behind the shopping centre Fisketorvet over the bridge to Islands Brygge, you will find a larger harbour swimming pool, where the city’s locals enjoy hanging out during the summer months. There are also basketball courts and skater parks.

If you walk over Dybbølsbro and Dybbølsgade to the old meatpacking district and Sønder Boulevard, you will find Vesterbro’s coolest area – a lively neighbourhood under development, brimming with unique offers for the modern person, the shopper, the café-goer and the galleryist.
